I found the screen capture program I was looking for. Now I can do video tutorials and speedart also. Don't have a mic though.

What program might that be? I use Screencast-o-Matic myself.

I have FastStone Image Viewer so I can view GIF image in windows 7. You must have another version of the program if your able to make videos, or are you saying that you watch movies with it?

FastStone Capture is a separate program from the viewer/manager, at least it use to be. When I was running windows I used both.

I wasn't really looking for a screen capture program, but now it has piqued my interest.

last freeware version (for non-commercial use)

http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware ... #FastStone Capture

edit: To avoid confusion this is just a screen capture, not a screen recorder, that came in later versions as noted by rod and costs $$$

Yes i use the commercial lifetime license version here which allows screen recording with mic or speaker audio. A very small but powerful program with a small fingerprint. All updates are free forever.
http://www.faststone.org/FSCaptureDetail.htm Price is 20.00.

In fact i just updated to 8.0

Version 8.0 (December 19, 2014)
Added "Fixed-Size Region" to the screen video recorder
Added animated GIF converter to the screen video editor. This allows you to convert your screen videos to animated gif files, which are supported by most web browsers
Now you can drag and move the yellow control bar for screen video recording
Other minor improvements

In my opinion it's a great tool. And it isn't too pricey. :)

The price point and free updates forever sounds really great, only having to make the initial purchase is also a big plus.
I'll need to check that out. Thanks Rod! :bigthup

I have found over the years "free upgrades for life" aren't what they are suppose to be, unless they are talking about the life of a fly of beetle. For example, years ago I purchased Winzip with the same "free upgrades for life". That was until version 9 when they stopped free upgrades.

I think you make a good point, but we all take our changes whit this kind of promise. As they say... "Sh*t Happens".
