I just finished making it Issabella. I messed up on the oven thing though, but it turned out perfectly.
The recipe said 220 o but I was thinking that was Fahrenheit and it wasn't so I had to google it and it should have been 450 F so I had to crank up the heat and it wasn't burned or even brown but it is quite good and would be better with vanilla ice cream on top.

I have your apple pie rotated in the right direction otherwise they fall out
it has to be careful with the translation !! degrees !! farenheit !!!
I would cut the apples finer so they cook quickly
I think it was successful, tasty

can you take a photo of a piece of apple pie,so we can see the inside

Could someone explain to me what a sachet of vanilla sugar is? I've not seen it in the store (but I've never looked for it) so it could be there. How much is a sachet? Like weight or volume?

Thanks for making the recipe document, Molly.

I don't think they have such a thing here either... What I did was put a couple tsps of home made vanilla which I imagine you have lots of. I would put the open to 450 - 475 then put your timer on. I used 4 apples and vanilla pudding mix.... NOT the instant kind. I will try it next.

Thanks, Molly. I got a close up of a packet (sachet) of it and it is quite small (9gm) so I'd guess it's about the equivalent of a tsp of liquid vanilla.

I think it would be best NOT to use the instant kind of pudding. It might ruin your pie. Instant pudding is not meant to be cooked.

I never buy instant pudding but sometimes I put not instant on my list and a certain person doesn't read that part. :teeth. I have to see how much I like it before I decide to make more. Neil likes it but he eats anything long as there is lots of it.

I'm just warning you to not use it in the apple custard pie, feed it to hubby instead. I think all instant puddings taste like glop.

It's hard to find the cooked ones anymore. I have recipes for cornstarch pudding (cooked) if I want pudding.

Love the look of those pies you guys and the recipe looks easy to prepare.

Do you think this kind of pie could be made using cherries, what do you guys think?

I dont see why not wallace. I think any kind of fruit would work, maybe even pineapple.

Thanks gimper, My next one will be better, I will cook at 450 F and it will work out better, I will try pineapple next. I think that would go good with vanilla pudding.

Good idea Molly, but I think that pineapples contain much more water in than apples have. So, IMO you should have that in mind to get a good balance in the whole quantities of ingredients. :)

that's the problem with translation,Here we count with degrees you in fahrenheit
i have sought in google
220° = 428 fahrenheit
there we will keep in mind in the future and both indicate degrees and fahrenheit
