SallyAnne, that glowing glass one is beautiful...how did you get it so glowing and translucent?

2Ton By saving the layers you can work on them independently to get your desired result

The one with the heart?
I lowered the opacity of the background.
The glow then just showed through. I think there is a background glow in the script. I have noticed it in a couple I have done.

For the last one I did I added an extra 100% nova to the background so it covered most of the background. The background used the same pattern as the bauble but I reversed the colours.

I love the script! What I just did while playing with the script was.

Reload the image I used for the image ball, on the layer below the ball.
Add the alpha channel to the image layer if it doesn't already have it.
Use the rectangular select tool to select the rectangular area beneath the cap, between the two outside points of the cap, going down below the ball.
Invert the selection.
Cut out the selection.

This gives a neck to the ornament, between the ball and the cap.

Oh I also forgot to mention. The pattern I used for that one is partially transparent.

The map version did not turn out like I had expected. (The initial ornament sphere seems to be missing, although the background elements and text work appropriately) The logo version seems to work best.

So, I did this again, and just used a picture with the map version and it turned out just fine, the cap and ring even turned up. I guess one could run the plugin twice, once with background and one with text and then combine them. Unless I am missing something, not having read the first 11 pages of post.

Mahvin my script is 'xmas ornament' and is located under Script-Fu/Map and Script-Fu/Logos plese don't confuse with 'Christmas Ornament' in Filters/Map

I didn't get the two confused because I do not have one in Filters/Map. I think I made a layer selection error which caused my first issue. I ran it again on a photo and it worked perfectly.
