GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Win Professional 7
GIMP Experience: New User


Hi,

when I look tutorials from the community, on the layer Toolbox everyone has buttons at the bottom of thee Layer toolbox for New Layer, Delete Layer and some more, but I don't have them. See attached picture of what I mean. How can I put the toolbox option in there at the bottom?

See where the arrow is, how do I get the tool options in there?

This means you got the 2.8.14 installer during the short period before it was found to be faulty.

You should re-install GIMP using the latest installer.

Thanks Kevin, that would be the installer from the GIMP official site gimp org, right? They still have the 2.8.14 installer there...should I just download that same version number again and then re.install?

Install the latest stable version. I believe that is GIMP-2.8.14. :)

Yes, from gimp.org

If you've still got the original installer you will find that the new one has a different name: gimp-2.8.14-setup-1.exe
Where the "-1" indicates it's a newer version.
