Yes; true. But then you get the distortion on the sides as you can see. lol

One thing you can try to do is make the initial height of the tile much greater then then width and then run perspective and then crop. Now, if you want a bigger width, then you have to really increase the original height to width fill (and that, of course, has to be seamless) and crop to hit the target. Still, the image gives true size distortion as you go up, but that actually happens when you look at a field of objects regardless (not the lower sides).

i don't think it's possible because if there's no distortion then there can't be smooth transition so the seem has to be obvious stand out like that... if there's smooth transition, then there must be distortion...
at least that's what i think of it

The center triangle is usually the least distorted. Just wish there was a way to fill the black area with undistorted perspective fill.

Yes; probably the best compromise to eliminating side distortion yet still be realistic. Just wish I knew a good formula to do this automagically. lol

Looks like the rectangular selection you chose is a keeper though.

That would be cool; just sad so much has to be thrown away. Again, just wish there was a magic recipe to eliminate side distortion. C/L perspective isn't the answer either since it only works with certain types of textures (i.e., do not try using a crop of bambo plants using this techique; corn either. lol).

was playing around and got it to do this...looks like space age background like zooming really fast..something you'd see if you were flying really fast I guess....kind'a cool looking so I thought i'd share

played around by bumping up the z_per_y variable, and made it wrap x and wrap y.

cool, yeah i was messing around trying to figure out 3D but i don't think it worked out as i imagine...
but the effect if definitely space-like for sure.

Definitely looks promising Tran; doesn't appears the rectangles are distorted, but not too distorted.
