Im having issues with the 1.6.5.0 version plugin of gmic.
some fast fast facts:
gmic version 1.6.5.0 (64bit) gimp version 2.8.10 win64 + linux mint 32 and 64 bit (ubuntubased) last known working gmic version 1.6.0.4 (same platforms)
not working gmic filter : smooth wavelets (located under repair category)
computer platforms : tested on several hardware diffrent computers with same results, as a reference : i5, 4 gig ram nvidia graphics, i5 4 intel hd4200 graphics, and a intel xeon workstation 8 gig ram and amd graphics.
The bug is that if u use the smooth wavelets filter (under the repair menu) u get a broken, black or just garbled up image instead of the noise reduction. The type of "error" u get is diffrent depending on what channels u set the filter to work on. The bug is shown in the preview image and on the processed image. Tried changing the other setting for the filter with same results, tried adjusting the parallel processing to my cpu exact specs. this only results in additional variations of garbled image. The other filters in the repair category works as they should. The last known working version of gmic was the 1.6.0.4 version. the issue is the same on either a windows 7 64 system or a linux 32 and 64 bit ubuntu based system. If u revert back to the older version it works again som it seems its somthing with the filter itself in the new version. Could only try the revert to old thing on windows since i dont have the old linux files and cant see them on ur /gmic webpage so cant use that workaround on linux.
Anyone with ideas?
