Fonts are like clothing. They apply 'window dressing' according to the current mood, desires, and wishes of the wearer. When you pick out a shirt to wear, you consider what you will be doing (getting greasy, going out to dinner, etc.), and the reason for the event for which you are wearing it (fixing a car, proposing marriage).
Finding the right one is a matter of 'feeling' your way around the issue at hand, in this case, what is the image trying to convey.
Many of us have large collections of fonts, and in the end wind up using just a select, chosen few, as we have found they represent "us", "our personality".
There are literally hundreds of places on the webernet where you can find fonts. It boils down to look around, and find the one that reaches out and grabs you. A word of caution here, well two cautions really:
- fonts come with licenses just like software; make sure the font you select is licensed for your intended use;
- Fonts are addictive! I probably have 2k+ installed cause they 'looked right', and i only use about 15 in reality. And once you start, your hooked. There is a member here (saulgoode I think) whose signature line complains about not being able to look at a restaurant menu because he spends to much of his attention on the fonts. And I can relate!
