And I still cannot help myself. Since PNGs are way too big, I including 2 jpegs; one the render w/ black background, the other the alpha channel which can be applied as a layer mask to make the star have transparent background.

Lylejk - you were inspired by Odin's thread ... and I was inspired by your image; so I had a play with RobA and Ofnuts scripts ...

OK, how are you guys getting the near perfect glass transparency?

Do a search for BRL jazzon. Once I stroked the path from path inbetweener result, I run that result through BRL using a gem target. I then adjust the colors to be more like lead crystal.

Lyle - you have got me hooked on this glass stuff; even dragged me away from 'path blend'.

Jazzon - you got me there, I'm not quite sure what I did! Just kept changing things till I thought it looked OK! So i had another play, using 3 different scripts, some GMIC and some blending, but still don't know what I did exactly!

lylejk: wow, brother, your glass art is really beautiful! i see you used the brl plug-in for it using a "gem target" - does that mean a gem environment map? i didn't really get that.
