Quite a lot of time I don't see posts from Gnutux.
Did I miss some info about our Founder?
Hopefully everything is OK with him.

@ Dinasset, Gnutux made this post on 1st August..... He has made other posts since that I can see in August at least
"Welcome, Jacob. I'm sure you'll do a fine job as the new site owner and be able to take GIMP Chat into the future."
Oregonian, Odinbc or Molly may be able to tell you more.

Sallyanne,
it's just because he made last posts in August the reason why I said "quite a lot of time...".
In the post you mention I don't see any clear indication that GnuTux is out of the game and Jakob (a newcomer?) is the one who takes his place, the definition "site owner" is quite ambiguous, IMO it may refer to the site where Gimp-chat is "guested".
Do you think that Jacok is now the "primus inter pares" in Gimp-chat?
Let's hear something from Molly.

GnuTux is no longer the owner of gimp chat. He did say that it was time now for someone else to take the reigns and take the forum to a new level.
He is fine as far as health goes, he just wants to go on to different challenges and interests
It is up to us, the members here to keep this forum going forward and offering new challenges in the future. We have a great group here so that should make it very interesting.
I think when Jacob gets more accustomed to gimp, you will see more activities from him.
Molly

Glad to hear everything is going well for GnuTux.
Did I miss his farewell or simply that post recalled by Sallyanne was the farewell?

Wasn't going to say anything since PMs and emails are private, but Tux did contact me a few days ago. I, at the time, had no idea since I missed his entry where he transferred ownership of GIMPChat; was completely oblivious. lol

There wasn't an official thread at that time apparently. Regardless, Tux will be missed but GIMPChat will go on; that's what's good about GIMPChat. :)

I hope he does too.

@ Dinasset, I remember seeing the post that I mentioned earlier in this thread but just shrugged it off because nothing more was said.

Greetings Friends,

Oregonian alerted me to this thread and I wanted to pop in and say hello. The reason I haven't posted a farewell message is because I'm not leaving. It's just that after 8 years of being responsible for the day to day operation of GC, I felt it was time for me to pass the ownership over to someone else and take a step back. I really need a break, as well as time to focus on a few other interests I have.

I'm actually glad to see that Omega hasn't made any radical changes and everything seems to be going well. I'm still maintaining gimpscripts.com and will continue to support that site, along with the scripts I've released. I hope all GC members are doing well and I'll try to drop by and say hello more often during my sabbatical. Until then, please enjoy my new theme song. :hehe

I hope that you stop by often, now that you don't have the stress of daily operations. It would also be nice to hear from Omega from time to time.
