Just re-remembering the traveling salesman thread and how to use the information. :)

Very neat! How was that done? Manually or use of a filter?

Thanks Pat/Warrior. If interested, you can follow the thread below for how. I just stroked the resulting path after getting the result. :)

lylejk: :hi5 really cool! quite an achievement of you to figure out a way to make that single path too -
i read through the travelling salesman thread and it was like you were all speaking a rare rural dialect of mongolian or something :hehe .

lol

I'm sure when Sir Isaac Newton invented Calculus, it appeared to be Greek to others at the time too. lol

I like creating my own way of thinking; gives me a taste of maybe what the greats feel when they re-interpret life. Still, I'm not the one that invented any of this; the TSM problem has been around for a heck of a lot longer than my existence. What I really want to create is Organic Labyrinths, but I've not found a way to create these as of yet. :)

OK; got an epiphany and voila (thanks to RobA's mosaic helper and a duh moment). Believe I can now create arbitrary container fills with space-filling curves like the organic labyrinths. I've been pursuing this request for nearly a decade. See; never give up; sometimes you can figure it out (but it can take decades; lol). :)

Created a circular selection and ran RobA's Mosaic Helper script-fu. I then stroked the resulting path with a 1px brush set to 1200 spacing (or was it 2000; huge regardless; lol). I then saved the result as an PBM file and ran the Traveling Salesman flow like I would for a voronoi result. The way the spacing works gives you the elongated paths. I did clean up the paths via InkScape simply path. May be better to clean it up using the GIMP's Smooth Path Script-fu (will try so on another example later). :)

Still not 100% happy since the Organic labyrinths are much cleaner looking to me, but still, happy that I'm even this close. lol

hehe, it wouldn't be the travelling sales man if he doesn't return to his original starting point.

Thanks Wallace.

Anyway, getting a bit better at rendering what I want now. Used GIMP's path smooth filter to smooth the path this time. Got the template from Brother Printer. :)

Thanks Wallace; you might like the fill applied to my Diablo as well (but I admit that bat will be hard to beat; lol). :)

Phoenix was shared here somewhere I believe in the BRL thread. Figured, I'll make this one open ended this time (no closed loop Tran; lol). :)
