won't colorize anymore

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User

I trying to add color to a brush and was told how to do it before but strangely it doesn't work anymore. Is there an option I accidentally selected which has disabled this or something? I was going to colors then colorize then was able to change the hue and saturation and lightness but for some reason this little box is no longer cropping up whenever I put a brush in gimp. (pic included)

Image mode needs to be set to RGB.
