that sold Powerball tickets. lol

Called my siblings since they do live close enough (within reason) to a state that sells them. Only got their answering machines (well; voice mail) so I hope that means their busy in line buying tickets. lol

I'd settle for the 70 mil. that a couple over here won on our Powerball lottery.

I just bought my tickets. I spent 8 bucks on 4 chances. Unfortunately, the first two sets of numbers have the same number in them, and the last two have 2 sets of the same number, LOL. That's what I get for quick picking. Good, if those number happen to hit, but more than likely it's not a good thing. Not like I will be the lucky one anywhos.

My sister purchased 5. Told her, why? At $2 a pop, she wasted $8 since there no difference statistically between 1 and 5. She told me, it had to be worth her to drive out of state so she spent the $10 bucks. lol

:)

Well, I did hit the powerball number, but that was it, haha.

Should of only spent $2 (price of a single ticket) Warrior. There's no real benifit of buying more. Just read a response at the yahoo link that someone dished out $1000 for tickets. That's just plain dumb. :)

I understand the ridiculous odds, and I normally do buy only one ticket. But at $900,000,000, it made me feel better to buy 4, haha. Odds be damned...

Well, now the Powerball ticket lines will be really really long. Actually, I have always wished that there HAD to be a winner for every drawing. I would buy a ticket every drawing if I knew someone would win. I could be just as happy with a couple mil as with a huge jackpot.

No long lines here in small town USA. Walk right up to the counter and get one. Same here, I'd be happy to win anything really. I was even glad to see I won half my money back.

What i love about my town. No long lines here either. :) We bought 3 and one easy pick. I matched 1 number in each ticket (no powerball though) Yep it's over 1 billion now. :) $806 million cash payout. I already have my numbers picked for Wednesday. :lol

My favorite comparison of the odds that I saw on the news: You have a better chance of being struck by lighting while drowning that winning the powerball lottery.

Yep, but, that's what the person that wins thought too, haha. I know the odds are staggering, but, you can't win if you don't play.

I heard you have a better chance of being blindfolded on a golf course and walking directly up to where someone threw a golf ball. :lol I am afraid Warrior is correct. You can't find the golf ball if you don't wear the blind fold. :)

Well, unlike the last drawing, I will be driving the 200 mile round trip to get me a ticket; either tomorrow or Tuesday (have to do my 5 hour shift for the week, Wednesday. I know; need a full time job but still grateful for the part time one. If I win, then who really cares after that. lol). :)

Thanks Rod. Spent the better part of yesterday driving to Georgia and back (with my brother; he was off yesterday). We then saw Star Wars (been wanting to watch it but hadn't yet). Since I read every freaking spoiler out there (was going to just blow off watching the movie), I was not as excited as I would have been if I would have watched it the first day, but it was alright. I purchased breakfast and a lunch snack (before the movie) and my brother bought us tickets and even purchased a bucket of popcorn (he was wanting to buy a bucket for this year anyway; they give you free refills for the rest of the year (but only once per visit) and cokes. I was tired by the time I got home yesterday (very late afternoon; actually twilight), but now I don't have a zero percent chance of winning. lolol

:)
