GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User

Hi. I'm a new user and am simply using Gimp to apply some tonal edits and a border to some art photos. I'd like to protect these images as far as possible when they on online, and am wondering how I use the Copyright tab under Image Properties. Can anyone advise please?

I never noticed that, and I'm sorry to say that I don't know how that works.

EDIT:- make sure you copy your photos before trying it. I tried just on a graphic and it messed it up.
(Had a jpg extension still but trying to open after, I was told by gimp that it wasn't a jpeg?!)
Otherwise wait for someone else to give you a proper answer on the copyright question.
