Without sphere

I just ran 'Manhattan' on this picture. Kept the layers and decided to keep it without the sphere.

...which is equivalent to run:
Blur > Motion Blur > Zoom and choose the length you like

It doesn't look quite the same to me. Perhaps it is the subject matter, and this is all mental, but the train really does seem to 'move', while the rose looks more like a soft-focus blur.
