Oldman Grumpy I like you and a lot of your art work, so dont take it wrong or as criticism because I did like the other ones.
My critique of it is, It, to me looked like a slave girl getting ready to feed the dogs. Thats just my opinion, I am sure many people liked it.I liked the other ones though

Hey Norseman ... it's OK. As we both have said, people obviously have different opinions

The art deco era was also when those Borzois were held in high esteem by Czars, European royalty, the aristocracy and anybody in the public eye who wished to look affluent and 'with it'. There are many images of 'flappers' holding/walking 4 or 5 borzois, which just happens to be my favourite dog.

I did this ArtDeco Decoration with a brush done from a icon in art deco I saw and several different textures.

Norseman143 - as my father used to say many, many years ago, "to show there is no ill feeling" here is another contribution showing the state coat of arms in a wall panel. I got the idea from our state library.

I didnt know that about the dogs, I always thought they were greyhounds, But from this old add I have, its clearly not.
I think the reason I thought they were Grayhounds was because Lincolns used to have Greyhounds back in the 30s

Norseman143 - Australia (or more correctly the Commonwealth of Australia) became a nation on 1/1/1901 when 6 former separate colonies amalgamated and became the 'states' of such federation. We now also have an Australian Capital Territory for our capital Canberra, just like Washington DC, and the Northern Territory also with a small population. Mind you we only have 24 million all up.

Out on a limb with this one ...



Its my arch but influenced by the New Napier Arch built as part of the art deco reconstruction of Napier in New Zealand, after the earthquake in 1930. Actually the real arch is part of a long colonnade with 2 other arches and a sound shell too. It is all built almost on the beach on top of the rubble from the earthquake. Great little city.

I saw a gate suppose to be art deco in a building in the web. I liked that idea and I have reproduced it with different real crystal textures.
