very likely it's the Special Edition posted in this thread (post #149); it requires RobA script Mosaic Tile Helper, which you can also find here

I am also confused as to the 'version' of the script. I downloaded version #2 from Gimp Scripts yesterday but is there another one?

version 2 of Mosaic? it doesn't exist. You probably refer to Stained Glass (for that yes, version 2 is the last one). For this filter there is a temporary Special Edition I posted here, afterwards I prepared and shipped to Rod the final update which will be version 1.1 (not having much enhancements, only the one related to the maintenance of the original).
This is the "final" Issabella is referring to.

Dinasset - the zip file name is 'DIEGO_MOSAIC_Lyle_Style_2'. So from that, I presumed that it was version 2.

This is odd, I downloaded this script but it will NOT go into my gimp script folder where I put all my other scripts. It just either goes back to my desktop or goes into some strange place and I have to search for it, but it will not go into the proper place.

2-ton, you should put it in "plug-ins" folder as it isn't .scm.

But the file extension is .scm, so I just assumed it was a script file. So where does the Diego zip go?
