I love your wooden nickel!
I remember my father always saying,
"Don't take any wooden nickels!"

Better to give a wooden nickle than to get one. :hehe

Thanks you guys.

Wallace - brilliant wooden coin :clap .It gave me an idea for the image below.

Dalia - now that really stands out; love it :yes It has laso given me a lead to do some Maori icons that way - watch this space.

We have just celebrated our Anzac Day, which is also in the middle of its centenary and has significant meaning in this country and New Zealand for many of us. So Wallace, following on from your coin, I mounted one ...

... and less serious, some wooden smileys

Thank you Wallace, Omg and Pat.

Pat, I think your submission is original and creative! I did, however, write out a quick pdf tutorial and enclosed an image ;)

Beautiful, Issabella. I love the complimenting shades of wood and the design. Very intricate.

Dalia - me and my expectations (above) on the Maori symbols; two gross failures so far using gradients for effect against what I was aiming to produce, so it is back to square one and looking for the right textures. But I have not given up :)

In the meantime I am also having a mandala binge, so here are a couple. The first one took me longer to create the mandala than it did to render it -

Image

... and I used a metal setting for the wooden pieces too.

Image

.. and because I loike the metal look, I gave this one a metal rim too.

Omg, your mandalas are exceptional! :clap

I can't seem to make my mandalas turn out the way I'd like too so understand how you feel about your Maori symbols. I'll keep trying if you do.

Everyone's been making some really nice wood renders,
that I felt the need to make some myself.

Those familiar with Americana Football will recognize this logo.
