Looking through my Patterns and Gradients, it looks as though I should organize them somehow but I have a few questions regarding them.
I have some in C\users\gimp and I have a lot more in C\programs\gimp 2\share\gimp\2.0
Can I rename them ?
It seemed like when I added gradients and patterns to C\users\gimp they didn't show up and so I added them to C\programs ....
Anyway .... Love the results I'm seeing here.

I keep all non-standard resources (patterns, gradients, ...) under ...Users/Diego/.gimp-2.8/
I can rename them, and I did for some
Important thing is -as you noticed previously- to click on "refresh" when adding/renaming
Normally it's not recommended to manipulate names under Program Files..., these are "property" of the Gimp package and are replaced at each new release

I guess it's useful to post also here what I posted on the thread related to the special edition for Mac Users.
Important if you want to use Gradients in the filter and want to create your own set by duplicating/renaming existing gradients.

Example for renaming a gradient.
Assume I have a gradient called "Jeans.ggr".
Its internal decriptive name is also "Jeans" (you may see it by editing the file Jeans.ggr with for instance Notepad++.
Look:

Wrong: the gradient still appears in the gradients panel as simply "Jeans" and it's not selected among the other "...Denim..." if I enter the word "Denim" as the searching text in the filter.
I had to edit it with Notepad++ and change the second line of the text from "Name: Jeans" to "Name: my Denim for Jeans".

That worked great, renamed in notepad++ a bunch of chocolate gradients and mother of pearl and tried it out

If I understand correctly
- you have selected "gradients" as type of filler
- but the filtering name entered for searching the gradients available in your folder didn't find any
Please look at the name of the gradients you have and select from them
In case you want to change the name look at my previous post related to the procedure to change gradients names

Hello,
the plugin is installed in the below directories :

C:\Benutzer\Reinhard\Eigene Dokumente/Gimp 28/py-plug
C:\Benutzer\Reinhard\Eigene Dokumente/Gimp 28/pattern

I think the plugin does not find the pattern or Gradients .
Below is a screenshot of the error again .
