For several weeks running my computer with Windows 10,everything was ok.
a few days ago, I start the computer and I get a temporary profile.
result my whole computer file is at loggerheads
I've been a few days working to put everything in order.
Now I'm looking for the official download for gimp so that I can program gimp back as it should.
is there A new version of gimp for windows 10? than I would like to get the latest version, when I installed it I can look for brushes-plug-ins- scripts and everything I need because there is nothing that still works as it should.
thanks in advance,gimper66

Your best bet,
would be to go to gimp.org and download the most recent 2.8.16 version of Gimp.

Yes; there's a current installer for GIMP 2.8.16 (version 4 now). Many reasons and nothing to do with GIMP itself why there's now 4 versions of GIMP 2.8.16. All having to do with security issues as it relates to Win10 (and one as it relates to 32-bit OSs). As Wallace said, go to GIMP.org to get the latest version. :)

Luck Gimper, I haven't installed windows 10 yet because I'm afraid of getting problems and conflicts with GIMP.

Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.

I installed Win10 within days after it was released and
Gimp 2.8.16 a few days after it was released.
It's been over a year since my Win10 install,
haven't had a single issue arise between either Windows or Gimp.

Regularly installing updates to the OS and any related software.
Preforming a basic computer maintenance routine.
Using the tools that Windows has Given me,
along with the use of a few free utility programs.
This also includes a thorough dusting/cleaning of the inside of my machine.
Has kept everything running in tip top shape.
