This is a white/yellow(ish) mother of pearl background behind
a black vignette. I thought the result interesting.

This is from a photo of the Sioux Falls in South Dakota USA where I live.
The background is from running Dinasset's script with a colorful gradient
pattern as the subject and a dark rocky mountainside as the background.
So only one pattern behind the falls photo.

Issabella I hope you enjoy this.
Issabella's dragon on
a rocky mountainside pattern with sunset subject
and the result looked like a lava pool in a cave.
It was very small so had to scale it up about 400% which changed the look.
It is all done with Dinasset's script except for the dragon breath touched by I-Warp.

Pat and animicule, you both have this down pat.

Giving it a try here...although I should probably post this on the Mac version post. Oh well, too late, I'm here

Here is one of the famous Berry Head Arch in Newfoundland. Lots of information on google.
I made a duplicate of the subject, desaturated it, made sure it was the same size as the input and output
files, then turned it into a pattern file. Ran the filter with the one pattern and Graphic Boost and Color Boost and played with the outcome. Found it was close, but the water and the sky lacked, so used a dark water colored pattern and ran it again to find the sky and water were good, but the rest lacked, so put one on top of the other and erased the bad. Another thing that is nice sometimes is a transparent .pat file (easy to make, size doesn't matter)...
I also like to use a whiteish pearl .pat, and a burnt (totally charred) wood .pat - running the filter with just one and then the other will bring a very different outcome.

RJKD, very nice. How did you get the person so well defined. How many patterns did you use?

Pat, here is a copy of your butterfly.
First, I erased the background (and maybe a little more).
After making sure that the size was 1200 total I exported it as a .pat file and kept the cutout as the same
size. Ran Dinasette's filter with the Graphic Boost and Color Boost buttons using the butterfly as the only
pattern.
I played with the layers to get color, then saved as visible and ran the filter on it again and
this is what happened (except that I put a background made from corncobs (ran through the filter by itself, making some red/orange backgrounds) behind it)
The butterfly lost its legs, but since it was transparent it was easy to put the colored butterfly on top
and the butterfly with no background and the legs/antenna were right there. Than saved visible as layer. Then tried different backgrounds for a minute.

animicule, the butterfly is superb. I love it.
