Maybe Chernobyl produced Midas bacteria that eat unstable isotopes and produce gold as a waste product.

Already knew about the particle accelerator method; costs more to make gold then what gold's worth using this method, Odin. Supposedly the Russian folk figured out an extremely cheap way to transmute matter to other matter (if you actually can believe them; I don't, but I'm biased against these folk due to the former cold war).

The value of all gold in Fort Knox is only a fraction of US deficit alone.
Seems pretty invaluable already.

I don't really care how people scream the value of something, since something is only as valuable as one is willing to pay. Knowledge of something being "worth something" based off of what a person or persons say(s) influences how "valuable" it is. Nothing is inherently valuable, it's only as valuable as people are made to believe it is and are willing to pay (except human life).

I agree, total hogwash but there is always a sucker born every minute...
