Thanks; yeah, I did some preprocessing to enhanced the contrast before running your script already. Thanks for the update; I'll try it again, soon. :)

Contrast is what i did too before the the manual threshold, but i find with contrast i had to do guess work still don't know how final outcome will look..manual threshold gives you sure control takes the guess work out at least for me.
Nice contrast work btw.

Can't get your G'MIC preset to work (won't even show up. yes, I placed user.gmic in the right directory). That said, I used G'MIC's paint before running your Script-fu for this one, Tran. :)

Now I removed your user.gmic file since it didn't work. :)

put it in Roaming...not Roaming/gmic/

I just doubled checked, even though there is already a user.gmic in my Roaming/gmic/ when i overwrite the file inside Roaming/gmic/ it doesn't show up on my filters, it only works when i put it in Roaming/

That is where I put your unzipped user.gmic file, directly into Roaming. I left that other gmic file alone. Works well.

OK; now I see it. Strange that you have to do this but I'm just a G'MIC user and not a programmer. :)

Dalia,
you should try the linux method which is having the user.gimp.zip extracted and renamed as .gmic under your $Home/ folder.

Edit: never mind, garagecoder put his awesome version in, it should available soon to hit refresh.

I've placed the "file" into the equivalent of AppData Roaming of Windows in the approriate folder on the Mac; no luck. I believe my problem is that I'm using Partha's McGimp and G'mic and hitting the update gmic button doesn't apply to Macs. I do have a question though is there a way "within" G'mic of asking the plugin to "add" a file/plugin; in this case Multi Threshold?

Within windows version there's something that explains the process of adding a filter yourself.
Under About->Filter Design.

I wonder if there's something similar with Partha's version maybe it'll explain how.

Why does it look just like the windows/linux instructions.... what happens when you try refresh, does it look like it does something like runs for a second or so.
