Gimp is treating my Tablet Pen and my Mouse as 2 different tool sets

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Experienced User

I have been using my Turcom TS-6610 Tablet without any issues for the past couple weeks, but I just encountered a strange issue. The only thing I can think of that could have started it, but it could have been a symptom, was a couple minutes before I noticed it as 2 separate toolsets, I would be painting fine with my mouse, switch to the tablet pen, and the actual brush was offset ~200px to the right. I restarted and it fixed the offset, but I noticed it treated the mouse and the pen as different tools. I would be using my airbrush with the mouse, but when I switched to the tablet pen, it would be the black pencil. When I would switch back to the mouse, it would be the airbrush again with the color I was using before. I know for a fact it was not behaving like this before. Is there any setting that I could have missed.

Have you checked your preferences input device setting,
to see if anything has changes?

This is somehow workingas designed, the mouse and the tablet are two different tools (and it your tablet has a reversible stylus, it counts as two tools, one for each tip). You will have different Gimp tools associated to the pointer tools and these tools can have seperate or common settings (brush, gradient, etc...). See Edit>Preferences>Tool options>Paint options shared between tools.

Hmm, is there any way to get the "original" functionality back, while keeping things like the pressure sensitivity?

A complete reinstall of GIMP 2.8.18 "fixed" the 2 different toolset issue, for now.

EDIT 9/21/15: Yep, what I figured to be happening was, GIMP is treating my tablet like the mouse, so it has no pressure control. I have to make a decision between pressure control and being able to use the same tool settings between my mouse and tablet.
