Salutations!

It's been several weeks now, I think, since I contributed anything to the forum. I just wanted to stop by and let folks know I'm still around. I'm currently busy building a custom open-source router/modem for our home network. I tend to focus on projects to the exclusion of everything else. So all my research, planning, and thinking has been going into routers, modems, and networking recently. I haven't touched GIMP in a while. Once I get the new network operational I'm sure I'll get back to being a productive member of the community. At least until I start building my new GIMP workstation. :hehe

Thanks Sasquatch for letting us know about you and project. I'm sure you will be successful on it and will return to this forum with new ideas. Luck :bigthup

Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.

Know what you mean Sasquatch; I call it being in the "zone" excluding all else.

Hopefully it won't be much longer. There's just a couple bits of hardware left to buy. Then installing everything and configuring the open source firewall. Then I can get back to playing.

I will. But please don't hold your breath waiting for it. I'm going full overkill on that project. So it will take time to save the funds. And I plan to build a media center first to keep my wife entertained.
