While browsing through the Gimp tutorial subforum Text Tutorials archives
I located one that I wanted to attempt.

The tutorial is titled- "New tutorial. How to make a desktop wallpaper."

Located @ viewtopic.php?f=23&t=271

The link listed leading to the tutorial is dead-

The tutorial was posted in June of 2010.

I believe that I probably could fabricate a similar effect but I was wondering if
anyone on the board still has the tutorial and would be willing to share it.

The wayback machine...

Thank you for locating the tutorial.

I have utilized the wayback machine website & also
cachedview.com for locating old information in the past.

But I apparently forgot about it in this instance.

I will now be able to pursue the tutorial.

I have never heard of the "way back machine" before.

The "way back machine" is awesome. It has saved my bacon countless times. Only problem here is the images for the tut are gone now.

Google should create such a machine but saving all content on page.
