how do I put an object inside of a mapped sphere

I used the following 500X500px image for front and rear but not getting result.

Rashid your stripe edges are not matching, that´s why it´s not working.
Highest stripe left edge should be on same level than second stripe right edge, look at the pattern Ofnuts posted.
I used it in 600x600 canvas to make this, the tutorial by Photo Master was bit complicatedly explained but that´s probably cause he wanted bold stripes.

I did add a very subtle motion blur drop shadow to the orb, ofnuts; I suppose it was just too subtle for your tastes. lol

Mr. RJKD and your spheres together make one concept of 'green world'. Am I right? Prayers are going on in Pakistan for Rain because due to long dry spell plants, birds and animals and other creatures along with human beings are suffering.
