Brushes

GIMP Version: 2.8.18
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User

Looked through most of the GIMPressionist threads. Cant figure how to save an ordinary brush into a GIMPressionist one.
Any help will suffice.

I haven't done much work with GIMPressionist lately.
I think if you export the brush as .pgm and save with Data Formatting of Raw,
to wherever you Gimp GIMPressionist>Bruches folder location is.
Not the User GIMPressionist>Bruches folder location.
It should show up as part of the list of available brushes,
ready to be used in the GIMPressionist filter.

Thanks Wallace, cant see it though. Have done two and they both saved as .gbr Even though I saved as pgm?

EDIT: Think I have it

Just export as an image with the pgm suffix to the gimpressionist brushes folder in your gimp profile. Looking at the existing brushes use grayscale mode.

Thanks rich. I think I have finally figured it out. what was confusing me was the file name would change to ppm
