Very nice rosas.
Any request from your side, my dear friend Issa?
You know, I'm preparing a new release to meet the requests from Pat to add:
- crochet on transparent BG
- crochet only on a selection of the input image
Waiting ...

Flowers seemed to look good with this plugin so I thought I'd try some.

Wow, excellent, Sallyanne.
Do you have experience of real crochet works, either yourself or someone of your family?
Or do you have anyhow crochet works at home?
If so, does this "virtual" crochet work generated by the filter approach the real ones?
Very glad to have you on board!

(I missed you in many of my published filters)

Actually I learnt to crochet while young (teens) from my grandmother no less. She only had time to teach me the basics so I learnt the rest while raising a family and I did mostly 'cotton' work (doilies etc.). Alas I cannot do it any more as I would like to, because of a stroke several years ago. I have only 1 doily I did from years ago out of all the ones I did as they were perfect presents.
This virtual representation is true but also has the ability to move the colours as you move them in front of you :bigthup :bigthup
Here is another 'different types' of a butterfly picture. 'I' prefer the ~on source~

Thanks Sallyanne, for your positive evaluation.
Nice outcomes.
As far as the various methods is concerned, IMO very much depends on the source image:
the "on source" option gives often very good results, sometimes I prefer "nuanced" or "combo" because I see them as "ancient" crochet-works done with coloured threads (colours look "antiqued").

Yes combo is nice. As for your other filters I have taken note but not jumped in.
I cannot keep up!

Thank you Issabella. Your umbrellas are lovely. I am impressed by the edging in this filter.

@ dinasset if you are looking for a vintage look try off white - cream colours. Like white that hasn't been bleached

Thanks Sallyanne, I will set this as an additional enhancement (the other two which are ongoig are (Pat): crochet on transparent and crochet only on a selection)

Sallyanne,
does this look OK for unbleached White?

(if someone else knows crochet-works made using threads with an unbleached white colour, please comment)

Maybe a bit more lighter.
Sorry to be troubling. Do a search for white and you will come up with many colours.

Glad to see many jumping in to use the filter! It really is nice. Very nice images from Issabella, Lyle, Sallyanne, Photomaster as well as yours, Dinasset. I think I shall recommend you for a Golden Wilber Award, for excellence in "Artistic Script Programming" especially this one. Do I hear a second of the motion? Where's Mahvin?

I tried all of the different outcomes on a single image of a bay view near Key West, Florida. Two did not come out well enough for me to post, the image wasn't good for the filter.
