Hi!
I'm curious if anyone knows how to select a section of a youtube video and post just that section...??
I know about the start from option, I'm taking about a starting and stopping point. I want to share my videos on here but I can't because of promotional stuff I put at the end of my videos. Anyone know how to do this so I can stop the video before the promotional stuff..?

Thanks!

There is a ways of editing videos within youtube's interface,
using the YouTube Editor.

Well I don't want to edit it, I want to select a time frame that's like a link to the video but it only plays a section of it. :pengy ...that used to be a thing idk if it's still possible. :|

I think you can still do it by using link instead of ?v=videoid.
use /v/videoid?version=3&start=start_second&end=end_second&autoplay=1
like this link
https://www.youtube.com/v/wVqMjfDrtLc?version=3&start=60&end=65&autoplay=1

It won't work for me. :<

Can you edit the original video source footage and remove the advertisements,
rename it,
then add this newly edited video to your channel?

I could but it would be harder on me in the long run. Ware and tare on this laptop that already doesn't charge and over heats by turning on, trying to sort out videos in my dashboard and other stuff.

I clicked on the link and it took me to a new tab and asked me if I wanted to save.

Maybe you can have someone edit the video for you?
Do you know of anybody that do this?
There are also free online video editors,
which you can use that won't bog down your failing laptop.

I use movie maker it's pretty much bottom of the barrel. I've looked up free stuff and it always manages to be worse somehow. Lol
