Have won 10 but have never gotten that type of error. Are you certain it is legit?

Yes it's legit alright.

I've been in discussion about this on tenforums.com for 3 days now.

Everything I've tried fails and I mean everything.

Make sure your time zone's correct and also time is correct. Noticed that you posted nearly 2 hours ago yet the date shown is 4/4/2017. Unless you live in Europe, I don't think your settings are correct, Wallace. :)

My date and time are correct.
Don't know why it's showing that date?

I've had 0 issues with all my updates in Win 10 64 bit. Perhaps you can go back to a recent restore where there were no issues. Then try and update again. Maybe it (your update) was interrupted.

It's a Microsoft issue,
that's been effecting many users all around the globe for nearly 5 days now.
I did manage eventually,
to get the virus and malware definition updates.
By running the mpcmdrun.exe,
to manually downloading and install the most recent definitions.

That doesn't mean that this issue is fixed.
It's still effecting definition updated for many Windows Defender users.

Also,
It is said,
that Microsoft is aware of this issue.

I'm running 64-bit Win10, Wallace. Sounds like a 32-bit issue. Why folk still use 32-bit OS is anyone's guess by the way if that is the OS you are running. Of course I do run a 32-bit OS as a VM. lolol

:)

I stand corrected then. Way too many things that it could be. You could try to upgrade to the Creator's Build which is released today (April 5th that is). I'm just not game for that at the moment. I'll wait until they actually push it on to me before doings so and then cross my fingers. lol

I haven't look into what exactly the "creator's build" is.
Also,
Microsoft doesn't make it easy for anyone to get this.
Another thing,
one needs to sign into their computer,
using a Microsoft account to get this build.
I'd rather use a local account,
not bothering with Microsoft and their data mining of Microsoft accounts.
So I guess I'll be waiting,
like you.
For the actual push.

I was mistaken, Wallace. Creator's build won't be released until April 11th. Anyway, do hope you figure out why you cannot get updates proper. :)

I've tried everything suggested on the win10 forum,
also tried everything I could think of and nothing really worked.

As it stands,
windows updates says my machine is up to date.
So I'm leaving it at that.

Well I broke down and installed the update (turns out I was sort of right in that today was the day they released the update, but not to Windows update. You have to use the upgrade assistent to get it today). Not sure if it was a mistake yet; only time will tell, Wallace. lol

Speaking of Edge, for some reason, certain sites are having issues with Edge. Mycokerewards.com for starters; it won't let me log in; just the twirl of death. Oh well; figured there would be some issues. Fortuntately my VMs can access these sites with ease. :)

I don't even bother with Edge. =) I just use Firefox as my default browser now.
Hope you get it fixed Wallace.
