Has anyone noticed the extra numbers at the beginning of file names. Or is that the error message?
I have been getting a completely different number to the last few shown here (1831)
Hmmmmmmm, I just tried a different picture. Same number.

This is normal, it is some mechanism to insure the image name is unique among all other uploaded images.

Like the rest of you I can no longer upload images using the 'Advanced BBCode Box 3 by mssti'. I was able to a few days ago.
I'm also too lazy to upload to another site and link so .......HAPPY TEXTING :lol

Yes,
unfortunately there seems to be no change in this.
Using a image hosting site,
looks like the only sure way of getting an image posted.

When will this uploading issue be fixed,
is anyone's guess.

:hoh

This is so sad to see the Gimp Chat site suffering from problems again. :hoh

Just a thought - does anyone still have contact with GnuTux who might possibly be able to get Omega to speed up delivery of a fix or has that already been tried?

That's a good suggestion/idea and I agree that it is sad.

However,
Contacting GnuTux about this issue.
Will not precipitate in Omega reading his e-mail or PM's any faster.

Besides.
The site is owned by Omega,
it's his responsibility to maintain it,
or elect someone to do so on his behalf.

It is a fact that we are having issues with posting images.
Posting images can still be done.
By using a media hosting website.
Much like the image you see below,
posted using the website photobucket.com.

Image
This image above was posted,
using Gimp Chat's provided Insert Image link button,
Image
placing the direct image link code given by the image hosting site,
into the Gimp Chat Insert Image dialog box.

Still unable to upload images,
using the normal Gimp Chat Upload File button.

Test upload image,
4/10/2017, 9:02pm USA, AZ time
.

Still not working...
and no word form Omega as well.

Tue, April 11th, 2017, 12pm USA, AZ time.

GnuTux did stop in yesterday and cleared the sites cache,
but it didn't help this ongoing issue with uploading images.

The previous breakdown somehow demonstrated that the new owner barely gives a hoot about what is happening here and the present one confirms this. Time to roll your own, or find greener pastures.

I understand what you're saying,
which is evident given past behavior.

I'm in it for the long haul.

If GC goes down,
it won't be because I didn't preform my duties.

It's all up to Omega,
does he want to continue collecting revenue or not?

I agree with Ofnuts.
If we all stop accessing / posting maybe the current owner -loosing revenue, I suppose- will decide to sell GC to a more active "manager" (there are candidates) or become himself more present.
We may use GF or GL instead.

I am with Wallace. I will stick it out here until the walls fold in or the site slips into another dimension. =)

He would still get revenue for stuff you posted in the past. You would have to go back and delete your posts (or replace them with links pointing elsewhere)

Oh, so what I said is a useless action. I didn't know that the owner gets money for ever!
Thanks for the info, Ofnuts.

I received a PM for Omega and he's looking into the issue.
