Took my experiment into creating fake HDRs and acidified it. lol

Basically I ran G'MIC's Cartoon preset (lowered sharpness and set edge thickness to zero) on the convolution layer and set that layer result to Grain merge. I then used a copy of the original layer, copied it on top and set to color. I did do some additional play for further simplicaton but that's the nuance stuff that's my personal secret (i.e., way too lazy to outline everything; the above steps get you quite close though). Some may like the result; others won't. Again, just an experiment. :)

I like a 2 minute blend of the 2 with more detail in the foreground (bottom of the gradient layer mask) and abstract sky quickly erased.
