.....cut the grass with you riding lawnmower. lol

Just got my mower from the repair shop back after being out for over a month (as a side note, pushing the mower with nearly an acre lot with lots of trees suck; lol). Anyway, like a kid, I couldn't wait so I immediately started mowing the lawn. Near the end, I noticed, my keys were missing (dmn). Well, I did look for a few minutes but gave up and was going to just purchase a new lock and door handle, but, while driving the mower up the ramp and into the shed, low and behold, the heys were there right near the shed's edge. Talk about freaking luck. lol

I'd have mowed over the keys!

Somehow, they fell out right next to the ramp (which I don't cut that part) or I would have ran over it too, Greg. Also, my rider is a mulching lawnmower so the clippings are fine anyway so a combination of lucks (thank God) that I was able to see the keys.

My bio-rythms peaked hours ago, 2-ton. Besides, my home state don't sell them unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) so I cannot spend money to buy any without driving 100 miles to do so.

Thought you were gonna say that you ruined the blades on the lawn mower and that why you just got it back from the repair shop.
Now that would be a costly mistake to make.

If it happens again why not buy a metal detector? You will find all the keys lost for the last hundred years... and heaps of junk.

When you have around an acre of land to scan, it would still take ages to find my keys if they were landed anywhere other than where they actually did this time. lol

Besides, idiots like throwing their beer bottles and cans in the hedge; would have a lot of aluminum to recycle at 3¢ a can I supppose. lol

LOL! Been there done this many times. In fact i actually left my keys in the lock once. (paddle/master lock). =)
One time i took off the lock and opened the door. And without looking hooked the lock back on(actually i dropped them so close to the shed door and foundation i didn't find them for 2 years. LOL! =D

Glad you got them back Lyle. You know whats cheaper than a metal detector is a telescoping magnet for auto mechanics. This came in very handy when i dropped my house keys down the deck boards one night. Heheh.

Magnets are very handy to have. My son could not find the surveyor's stake for checking his property line before putting up a fence. My husband gave him a strong magnet hooked on to a rope and told him to drag in over the area he thought the stake would be. He called to tell us that he found all of them in less than 5 minutes!

I have a safety deposit box at the bank and lost the key one day. I visited the grocery store and the bank on the way home. So the next day I went to the library to ask if anybody found the key. The guy next to me at the counter said that he found a safety deposit box key the day before in the parking lot of the grocery store and sure enough it was my key. That was some good luck.
