Photobucket 3rd Party Hosting

I just received an e-mail from photobucket saying some features on my account will be disabled due to 3rd party hosting. I know what is but my thing about it is why have a free account, or an account at all with the ability to post images on forums or blogs if that is not allowed?

That just sucks. I'm going to guess that no image hosting site is really free.

A few weeks ago,
I also received the same message from Photobucket,
I found the site imgbb.com.
If you sing up,
you can use their image hosting service for free.
I have an account there,
it works the same way that Photobucket use to.
They offer a 16 MB limit,
Direct image links,
BBCode and HTML thumbnails.

Because when you do this they just provide bandwidth and cannot show ads to cover the costs. You can still share pictures with folks, but you have to give the URL of a photobucket page that contains the image (and random ads), not the URL of the image itself.

It still sucks. I will not pay $400 a year just to keep using the service.

Use imgur.com. It's free and you don't need an account. Just upload an image, then copy and paste the link. I use it a lot.

I just checked the site and you do need an account in order to use it.

No you don't. I use it all the time and I don't have an account. Just click the "New Post" button near the top of the page...

I might use it but I have heard that imgur has a 3rd party rule but it is not enforced.
