Re-jigging ItalicVariations font to start the letter paths at an appropriate place to allow another path of text to follow a large letter path. Seems to work quite well after reversing the letter path in Ofnut's path tools - although a certain amount of playing about is needed to avoid pinch point over-distortions.

My first use of Logo Toolbox filter - excellent work by GnuTux. For some reason, however, I cannot paste text copied directly from the text tool into the Logo Toolbox; instead I have to paste it into another text editor and then copy and paste from there into the Toolbox. Strange!

The example:

The quotation has been in my head for a long time now - I have tried various things but none of them have felt 'the right one'.
This will have to do - I just want to put it out of my mind now.

To continue with the theme of fruit...
... perhaps a belated Valentine's Day contribution.

First stab at using Version 2.00 to decrease the size of the text with the image...

You have been working very hard on your joined up text and it shows! Looks very nice. When I can devote the time I will learn more about how to use it. I like the way you displayed how it can be used. I like that effect.

Some fantastic results for sure. I've been keeping an eye on your effort by the way. Not really a text guy though, but plenty of folk here are and I'm sure they appreciate it. All I have to say is fantastic stuff. :)

Thank you Pat and Lylejk; I do find it hard work - if I had any hair to pull out it would have all been pulled out during this bout of coding.
And since I have always enjoyed words, text effects and fonts this is a really good way to combine them all into one binge.
Anyway - the last of the guitar themes:

My own 12 string...

I thought I had better put a link to the Version 2 of the filter here...

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15743

...and to celebrate the first time we have grown hollihocks in the garden...

Image

This detail shows the effects of the Curve Compensation option in the filter quite nicely, I thought, on text before decorative effects have been applied. With paths that follow strong changes in direction, it does require a trial and error approach to get the best effect.

Playing with a version of my square font - see
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14917&p=207737&hilit=square+fonts#p207737
- to use with the Joined-up Text filter, as a sort of beaded effect.

The text is from an old Music Hall song (It was supposed to be an example of ironic comedy during the Victorian period.)

Quite pleased with the results of SquareBeads Font - ready to be added to Joined-up Text filter after I have fixed a couple of nasties discovered in the meantime.

Some quick examples after applying various Bevel Reflect Logo filters...
