February 1999 Our Summer - Got this one just after it bloomed and drew it while it was still on the bush - I know, no shadows.

A well done drawing, en plein air, and a good choice of colours.

Unfortunately no This was the last one I have done - apart from stick figures for my grandchildren. I used to love doing sketches of still life drawings but alas I seem to have lost it now.

I think it is wonderful, Sallyanne! I could never draw that. No artistic ability at all. I bet if you started to draw again, you would do better than you think!

Maybe, but I tried sketching some stuff a few times in 2000/2001 and couldn't do anything as near good so gave up, maybe I was just expecting to much from myself

I might give it another try again - we'll see.

YES, the learning curve may discourage you from taking up your passion again, but I was experiencing the exact same thing when I was going through all of the GIMP tutorials on youtube and fighting with plugins. I encourage you to keep at it, and force yourself to do it, for a few steps, so that you can get used to a little frustration, to build up your persistence! I sketch live models and have made some progress, but only because I didn't allow myself to get too frustrated to quickly. Please continue to draw! Maybe you can even solicit ideas from us on this message board!
