Hum, I don't know what is happening then.
I'll try on my Windows tomorrow to see if I can reproduce the bug.

I have thinking about what I have done and I am not sure it happened when I installed your latest zip file.
Because first I tried myself with the installer, and then I tried to download the zip file from the GMIC home page
and copied these files - PROBABLY to the plug-in folder but I am not sure.
But after every step I only tested if GMIC worked, and did not test if for instance export jpg worked,
my problem can have happened in any step before I installed your special file.
It was first when I opened a file and worked with it I noticed the problem!

But why will not the normal DLL files be installed in the plug-in folder when I reinstall Gimp 2.8.22?
I did not removed Gimp before I reinstalled, can this was the reason?
Hope you have a clever answer.
Bye

Thank you Rod, thank you for that walk through. I have been trying to do this with Gimp 2.10 64-bit, and used the download instead of the zip file, but it would not show up in Gimp no matter what I did. The only thing I had to to is actually point it not just to the file you suggested to create but the Executable file in that folder. Once I restarted Gimp it was there where It needed to be, though at the bottom, which is ok, As long as I got Gmic back im a happy camper. Thanks again ^-^
