GIMP Version: 2.8.22
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Windows 7 - 64 bit
GIMP Experience: Experienced User

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
MLBevelReflect.exe
Bevel-Reflect-Logo.scm

List any ERROR messages you received:
Error Msg 1
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).

Error Msg 2
Plug-in crashed: "MLBevelReflect.exe"
(C:\Users\PhotoMaster\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins\MLBevelReflect.exe)

I am running Gimp 2.8.22 on a Windows 7- 64 bit machine. I tried running the Bevel-Reflect-Logo script and got the error messages
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)."
and
"Plug-in crashed: "MLBevelReflect.exe"
(C:\Users\PhotoMaster\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins\MLBevelReflect.exe)"

I tried running the MLBevelReflect plugin by itself (Filters>Map>MLBevelReflect2.0) and
got the same error messages. I verified that I had version 2.0 (the latest). I even re-downloaded it and reinstalled it, with the same errors. I'm looking through my old downloads to find an older version of MLBevelReflect.exe in the hopes this will fix the issue. The only change between the using it in the past and now, is the upgrade to Gimp 2.8.22

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Greg (Moose)

I'm still running GIMP 2.8.18 and the BRL plugin works as it should.
Perhaps there's something within Gimp 2.8.22,
which is preventing it from running.

As a test.
We would need someone else using Gimp 2.8.22,
to confirm if it works or not.

Than you dinasset.

@Moose.

Have you checked to see if you have any duplicate plugins?

In addition,
I also have the MLBevelReflect plugin installed,
as well as the bevel-reflect-logo script.
I'm not sure if this script has anything to do with the MLBevelReflect plugin.
Just thought I'd mention it.

Something with my Gimp is seriously broken. A few days ago I used the Platonic Calendar Script to create a dodecahedron calendar. Now today, the script is gone! Just plain missing from the menu! The script is present but just not coming up. When I tried to run the script-fu console I got this wonderful little error:

Running scripts or plugins either directly or from the console usually brings up an error.

However in this case

1. sg-platonic-calendar.scm has a dependency sg-calendar.scm - make sure that one is installed.

2. sg-platonic-calendar.scm (size 30,637B) from GimpScripts is broken. Download the version from Saul Goodes page size 36,646B

Have you tried the "cure-all",
of creating a new Gimp user profile?

I haven't tried creating a new user profile, but that is a possibility. I removed the exe and py files from my plugins directory and did not get back the platonic calendar. I followed Rich2005s recommendations and got the platonic calendar back. Now I'll start putting back the removed files and work on getting back MLBevelReflect.

First I'd like to thank Rich2005 for helping me fix sg-platonic-calendar! It runs like a champ.

As I had mentioned before I removed files from my plugins directory. When I put them back where I had gotten them I now had 21 error messages. I did a search and found that the resynthesizer plug-ins were in multiple places. When I cut it down only to Gimps Primary plug-in folder, I got down to 20 errors. Most of them were GAP errors. I decided to try putting the GAP files into Gimps Primary plug-in folder. Yipee! No more errors and the filters were in their respective places in Gimp. So, just for shiggles, I put MLBevelReflect.exe in the primary Gimp plug-in folder and I have Bevel Reflect Logo working again!

Thank You All!!
