Making some progress with my new script thanks to paynekj. This one started as a galactic cluster but it looks more like a cloud of plancton...

But at least the generation of random ellipses works fairly well.

I don't see why you couldn't create something to individually whirl each randomly generated ellipse and make it like a cluster of galaxies. Seems like you're halfway there from this point (or more).

Refrain from making clever suggestions like this, otherwise the script will never be finished and you'll never see it

Looks like something under a microscope.

It sure does and generating luminescence under a black light.

From memory:

Punched the ellipses in a black layer after blurring them a bit. Through it you see an RGB noise with colors inverted, over a plasma and a a bottom black layer.

Interesting effect.
