I finally found a fractal paisley when exloring a sterling 2 Julia Set. A-C are straight renders and the other two are combined in Gimp using overlay mode and curves were used to brighten them a bit.

Erisian: You're no fun when you're good at things. Go back to making failed renders and let me feel superior again, please. Or there will be no more morning coffee in bed for you! :gaah

Very nice composition !
Two little comments (my taste):
1-I would increase the evidence of the wings
2-I would retouch the lake /sea

My thoughts too. I may change the water entirely but the wings happened that way because when I created the mask for the paisley, I forgot to white out the area where the paisley is. I quite liked the effect but a little more opacity would be good.
