Thanks for these. Couldn't wait to try the metallic flake. The red gloss is cool too:

I'm not sure what city this was,
but it made for a nice e-map.

Given the apparent interest in gold e-maps, I have posted a set of 3 golden e-maps, that I tend to use in blended combinations. I made them all from svg gradients created from Tin's gradient script and they are, in themselves, rich and subtle and not individually bright. They are though to my taste and maybe yours too - unfortunately I have hit the 3 image limit to each posting, which means that I needed to post a zip file for the 3 emaps themselves.

Individually they are:
1. omg_svg_gold.png
2. omg_svg_gold2.png – this one is not closely cropped and has a transparent border which it produces in resulting images, as exemplified in the text/selection image below. I use it that way for creating highlight brls for other text/images
3. omg_svg_gold4.png

Example of results using the emaps and the selection/transparency for highlights are below -

For the record, I made my E-map from an existing Stainless Steel E-map posted earlier in this thread. I simply overlayed a color with "grain merge" blending mode. It works well as is, but you can tweak it further with brightness and contrast if you'd like.

Nice racer-x. I found that blurring the emap made it have less aliasing. Like it a lot, thanks for sharing.
