I'm wondering if anyone has used the Windows 10 app of Inkscape that's available in the app store. If you have, is it easy to use? Is it worth downloading? Is it better than downloading Inkscape from the site itself?

If I were you,
I would stay away form the Windows App Store.

If you want Inkscape,
it can be download for free for their website.
No need to us the Windows App Store to get Inkscape.

It's free on the App store too. I don't plan to pay for apps from the app store. Is the app different from the actual download?

I'm not sure if the Inkscape app available at the MS Store is the same.
However,
Microsoft has a strange habit of making things seem as though they're free,
but if Microsoft is giving something away.
You can bet your bottom dollar,
that the product their offering isn't really what their after.
Most often then not,
the product they're really after is you and your information and not the product being offered.

If a piece of software can be found elsewhere.
You'd be better off getting it form the website it originated from.
Inkscape if free and always has been.
I don't understand what Krita and Inkscape are doing in the MS Store,
if only for the exposure to a wider audience.

I get what you're saying, which is why I took to twitter and sent them both a tweet. I have yet to receive an answer from either of them. I'm just curious as to what the difference is to the apps in the store and the apps on the actual sites.

There's probably no difference,
except that Microsoft has had their grubby little hands all over it.
I visited both Krita and the Inkscape websites and can confirm,
that the Microsoft Store offerings of this software is legitimate.
The only issues I have with it,
is that MS has their nose up Krita and Inkscape's butt.
I don't like dealing with Microsoft,
as I'm sure you can plainly tell.
if I don't have to deal with MS I won't and I urge others to do the same.
The less contact anyone has with MS the better.

Yes, I can tell that you don't like dealing with MS. I am only using a few installed apps as it is and I had to delete three. I was hoping to delete another one but it won't uninstall.

You can try and use Revo Uninstaller,
to remove/uninstall apps that were installed by windows.
You can also see if Ccleaner can uninstall any of the apps,
that were installed using the store.

Since I also use Inkscape's python for other programs (For TSP {traveling salesman plotter}), I have to stick with the Windows installed program. Still cool there's a Windows App (virtual machine) for Inkscape. :)

I have yet to install Ccleaner on my laptop. However, I do have Malawarebytes. :)

Windows installed? You mean going to the site itself and downloading it, right?

I've used Mbam for many years,
but I now use Emsisoft,
they're the (so called) new kid on the block.

I haven't heard of Emsisoft.

Malwarebytes recently had some issues with their software.
So I decided to switch to Emsisoft.
On recommendations for an IT professional I trust.

I do believe that the issues Malwarebytes was having are behind them now.
You should be fine using their software;
they have a pretty good reputation and were quick to fix the issues they had.

I am still using the inkscape app from the Microsoft store and I know that Inkscape has now updated to 92.4. My question is, will the app store update inkscape to the current version? The version I use is 92.3. I went as far as to tweet to inkscape on twitter. No answer. Any help would be great.

There's no need to wait for the Microsoft store.
You can get the latest updated version from:
Inkscape Draw Freely

That's where I got it from.

Thanks, Wallace. Is that the .exe file or the.msi file? Both are listed on the site. Is there a difference between the files?
