Embed YouTube videos in Gimp Chat

Copy the location of your video. Click the icon. Paste the path to your video in the dialog.


When you click the Fullscreen button in a video and you are using Firefox for your browser, the video screen sometimes falls behind the main browser screen. When that occurs, you will need to click the Minimize button on the browser window to view the fullscreen video.

Is it alright if I post videos with a bigger width and height? It may slow the forum down. Well the thread that the video is in, not the whole forum.

Whatever works best for you. No need to worry about load speed.

I edited my videos so they are clear in the medium size youtube player. The one in between the regular size and full size. Obvious full size is fine too.

The size is 855x 505, if I'm not mistaken. Just been messuring it.

Am I overlooking a video section or do I post them in the tutorial section?

Tutorial section is just fine. If we grow a lot there may be dividing of forums but for now a few work.

When trying to embed a video you guys do not have Twitch as an option. I know there are other people on Twitch using Gimp. Just a heads up. I can not get my Twitch video to embed properly on these forums.

Is the url enough? To paste into the window after clicking the Video Camera icon?
