Peter, you and OMG have such an innovative and unique thread going here. If I had an idea worthy of this thread, I would gladly jump in but you have both set the bar so high that I am not certain my brain is capable of that kind of output!

Peter - yes i m lucky to have lots of time for Gimping (and gardening now it is spring). Retirement can be used for many creative, satisfying activiites

A couple more - the first one in line is actually made from a temporary brush, created from the rings in the second image.

challenges me for more variations from what I'm

Sorry, OMG.
I'm an "image manipulator" man, not an "image creator".
Hence I can't contribute.
We are walking thru (exploring) different areas of gimping.

Peter - thank you for your kind comments; that effect comes from a gradient made from a photo I took of a piece of eucalypt bark, an e-map made from that gradient and a controlled application of colour 'cbb67f'. Sometimes you get lucky with combinations you try out!!

Here are some more to finish off my contributions for the present; I'm all 'wrung out' now and have some other effects i want to play with, but I have really enjoyed working on your gold rings topic.
