I want to know how to UNLOCK a layer.
I also want to know "how to activate a layer"

If you have a look at your layers panel you will notice the word LOCK written at the top.
V 2.8 has an alpha channel lock and a pixel lock.
V 2.10 has a third lock, that prevents moving and resizing.

The alpha lock is good for recolouring pixels on a transparent layer (like text). Just lock the alpha channel and drag and drop a colour onto the layer.

Activating a layer means highlighting with the mouse in the layers panel.

I saw those two small icons (buttons)
When I clicked on the Brush icon, nothing I draw appears on the screen!
The word LOCK is not changed. What should I do to UNLOCK the layer. Simply clcik on the icon?
