MareroQ, I am having trouble getting results with this last edition. It has crashed gimp
x 2 on me trying to make the border. I was not using a lot of effects. Is anyone else having a problem. I really like this filter and was hoping to continue using it.
I am using Gimp 2.10.8 Samj version. Windows 10, 64 bit.

Hi Pat625.

Thank you for trying but it's a bad news.
I also use the Samj portable version (but 32 bit - 2.10.5).

I need some more information:
- do you have any error message?
- Is version 1.8 working for you?
- can you try out the version without Felimage (here is the 32bit version)?

Ver 1.8 also shuts down after I try a few times. I had not tried 1.8 yet when I saw you had ver 1.9. so I deleted the 1.8. Since having so much trouble with 1.9, even the most simple of the borders does not finish correctly or jams and never finishes. Tried the regular 64 bit 1.8 but having same problem. I did not get the 1.7 so I can try it now, and I will try the 32 bit one you posted.

No crash with simple border with 32 bit, but crashed when added distorted and bevel.

Thanks for the information.

My only suspicion is that since version 1.8 I resigned from the operation:

gimp-image-undo-group-start / end.
[ This function is used to start a group undo--necessary for logically combining two or more undo operations into a single operation. This call must be used in conjunction with a 'gimp-image-undo-group-end' call.]

- which, moreover, did not concern a new image and maybe I mistakenly assumed that stepping back step by step might be a good option for correction.
Can You try the next version with the above-mentioned procedures (because, what's strange - I can not repeat, on my very old laptop, Your trouble-through my bad programming).

And one more question:
Bevel and Distress works on the basis of a script-fu.

Can You run them from the menu (and do they work correctly)?
Filters/Decor/Add Bevel...
Select/Distress the selection...

Thank you for your time helping with my problem. I checked both the distress and bevel. I am not familiar with the distress script. Is this working correctly?

Thank You so much for testing (this is my coding science and I know that if I wrote it again, I would do it differently).

Your script-fu works correctly.

If the last version (for test) does not work with bevel and distress then I do not know why (and only when I find out why it works for some and for others - no, I will return to the topic or rather with a completely different version).

I'm also very curious if others also have problems with this plugin (and if so - I will have to delete as many as 9 attachments - and only what I learned "in spontaneous" adding new options will not be lost).

I understand. Thank you for all your effort and time that you have spent trying to fix problems that may only affect a few. It may be something Weird in my computer.
