Understanding Brush Dynamics with a Wacom tablet

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Experienced User

I bought myself a Wacom Tablet and now im trying to figure out how to customize Dynamics to my drawing needs.
Had a look at the Dynamics that come pre-programmed with Gimp and i have no idea what they mean.

Can somebody explain to me in simple language what the three dynamics do in terms of performance, please ?!

Example 1:
The Size/Pressure Dynamic starts half a square above zero, so i guess that means, size can never be smaller than 6.25% of the brushsize.

Example 2:
The Opacity/Velocity Dynamic looks especially cryptic. Opacity can never drop below 25% and is limited to 37% Velocity ???

Example 3:
The Opacity/Pressure has an S-Curve. Again no idea.....

2: otherwise you have to be very fast for full opacity
3 : in practice you have more control of the pressure your produce in the "moderate" zone, so this puts most of the variation here.

I dont find this system very intuitive...

So generally speaking, when i pull the middle of the graph towards the upper left, or down to the lower right, im favoring whatever quality is represented by the left/right side, right ?
