can you be more explicit about your problem e.g. plugin not running correcty, also the help area will be of no use as it's not a default plugin
I can't really be tremendously specific about locations as Gimpchat keep sending me this... "Your post looks too spamy for a new user, please remove off-site URLs."
I have Gimp 2.8.1, the bundled app. Between IFS on the "gimp registry"
and IFS on "gimper"
Gimper suggests that IFS is a Script-fu script. I tired moving combinations of unix executables from both packages to the correct locations (in 2.8-plugins and also in the app internal)
There are no instructions whatsoever packaged with the IFS script for building with OSX at either site.
The location you directed me to did not include any directions for building IFS in OSX from IFS.c as far as I saw and the GIMP package didn't contain a precompiled IFS plugin.
When correctly placed, the packaged unix executable does not show up in the Plug-in browser.
As it states explicitly that the .tgz was compiled under Uuntu it makes sense that the linked plugin wouldnt run under OSX.
By help area I meant the plug-in browser under "help."
Every place I've looked provides some different flavour of how to install gimp from binaries. Macports, Fink, or whatever other variety they are suggesting. Many of them suggest "gimptool." but there isn't the remotest bit of standardisation in the instructions.
Do I need to compile gimp from scratch to get gimptool or is that just the same as GTK+2, GTK+2-dev, and GTK+2shlibs?
How do I compile the plugin under osx? (is this specific enough

? )
Thanks
