Where did you get the version that works in Gimp? I could only find for Inkscape and I could not get it to work in Gimp. Also what files were needed and where did you install them?

Appreciate any help you can give me.

What I meant by tracing.
Is to do it manually using the paths tool.

Updated the script with two functions to sort strokes by position.
Right now the only use case I have for this is preparing the path for an animation script I'm still working on...
