Why am I feeling so?

There are moments in our life that we feel in a low mood. It could be that the times we are currently living have a lot to do with this feeling. It is now that we have to draw strength from ourselves even if it's difficult.
The situation in my country is not better, there is a lot of fear and disorientation among people acting in many cases irrationally.
Friend Diego, you are a great coder, and your refuge is Art and creating new effects that will surely fill you with enthusiasm.
The desolate room you have posted reflects your feelings a bit, but there is a large door, open it and go outside, just now.

We all know where it came from and how it was caused. This is what happens when ignorance rules the World. It will pass.

my dreams and my hopes fell down in my 'gimp' room, like those pieces of the ceiling.

Plenty of ignorance in my country too, especially from the leadership. I have a planned international vacation soon and am regretting it now. I'm not worried about catching the virus, I'm worried about the possibility of a travel ban upon my return home. I already paid for the trip and hate to cancel and loose the money.

As for the virus, bring it on. It's well past the point where it can be contained anyway. It too shall pass.

Amigo Diego, If we start something enthusiastically and in a full sentence and it doesn't work out the way we would like it to, it's a disappointment.
The spark that generates a greater energy is extinguished.
And then it is time to let everything calm down for a while.
Just like a phoenix, new ideas can grow out of that disappointment and experience.
But that takes some time... and it's better to have tried and failed than not to have tried.

And I'm convinced it's not just Gimp that's causing your negative and dark feelings. The whole world is watching the latest developments with great anxiety. Let's hope there will be turn at the better.

I feel in the same dilapidation as this room. For the first time in my life, I will not go to vote on Sunday.

Melancholy/sadness can be overcome by friends and a good meal. In my case, I do crazy renders. To each his (or her) own I say. Hope all's well with you, Diego and all here. It's the freaking time change that gets to me; wish they would stop messing with my clocks.

Diego, I'm assuming COVID19 has something to do with this. I read the whole country has gone into quarantine and the government has ordered all shops, bars and restaurants to close. With these reports it's no wonder you have lost the desire to do art.

Maybe you could go into some detail about whats happening in Rome?
